Thank you, Jenny!!

My dear friend Jenny, whom many of you have heard me speak of quite frequently, sent the most fun box to me. Most of these goodies are for the new baby, Violet. Jenny made this gorgeous quilt for her. She had her mom crochet the pink edging on these cloth diapers turned burp cloths.

Look at the edging...so pretty!! I also got one of Jenny's tags. You can get your own set from her etsy shoppe.

I had often admired a necklace Jenny made and lo and behold, I now have one!! Oh, and a box of Special K Chocolatey Delight-yum...

The embellished dresses are adorable!! Can y'all guess which one is my fave??

The little stitcheries are either going into embroidery hoops or frames. What would y'all do??
Thank you so much, Jenny!! I love it all!!!

Summer Fun Swap!!!

Monica at The Homespun Heart and her sister, Carrie, host these super fun shoebox swaps and I couldn't resist joining in. My partner was Chrissy and this was her first swap. We decided to do a Summer Fun with Vintage Flair for our theme. I think she did great!! She sent me some fun flip flops and foot scrub. Lilly and I had fun using that together. Also included was two nest votive holders, two nest plaques, an R plaque, and my favorite-a vintage ice cream scoop and sprinkles in a mason jar!! The sprinkles in a jar was the cutest thing ever and inspire my kitchen counter vingette. I'll share that another day. Hopefully before summer is over!! ;)

Look at the packaging. So sweet!!

Here is a closeup of the nest plaques. I love the saying, "A crowded nest is best." So fitting here!!

Chrissy also sent this heart wall hanger-love it!! And this believe sign{?}...

She didn't leave the kids out, either!! Lilly was excited to see rock candy, sparklers, and pinwheels. So much fun!!
Thank you Chrissy, for an awesome swap package!!
Now for what I sent...

Here is what I sent to Chrissy. She mentioned liking the button flowers I made and shared a few posts back, so I had to make some for her, too. Chrissy likes to scrapbook and make tags, etc. so I sent some scrapbook papers and a stamp. I also made her a raggy flower pin to wear, a patriotic clothespin doll{Chrissy has gorgeous red hair that I have to buy out of a bottle, so I thought her doll should too}, a frame that I painted and embellished with yo-yo flowers, a book on creating fun memories with your children, some flower seeds and an embellished cylinder.

Some close-ups of the details...

The doll is holding a "sparkler" that I made from a star button and wire.

Another view of the cylinder. I used hymnal paper, scrapbook paper, and bird images from a bird watching book. I mod podged all that on, then inked it a bit, and then glued vintage crocheted lace around the top. Love the way it turned out!!

Button flower goodness...

I also included a glass flower frog turned recipe holder. I got the silver fork at an antique shop and decided to share a few of my favorite summertime recipes.
I had fun making and collecting things for this swap!! Thanks Monica and Carrie for hosting!!

More fun FALL mail and great thrifting...

Y'all remember the acorn tassel I traded with Jenny for something?? Well, here is the beaut I got. Love it!!

Jenny also sent this bird to me. I know y'all cannot see it in its entirity, but it is on a branch and so cute.

Sorry this photo is so dark. Jenny made salt dough ornies a while back and I got the acorn and candy corn. I need to make some now...
Love, love, love the FALL Cottage that Jenny made!! So freakin' cute!!!

She also sent this BOO to me.

On to the thrift finds...I got this shirt for Lilly for a quarter!! I just saw one last night at Target for about $5. I got the boots for a dollar. Love me some good deals!!

Got some awesome vintage craft stuff today as well. I have plans for the birds. Oh yeah...

Here is an overview-yes the photos are flopped...oh well. I've been eyeballing that wallpaper for a few months now. The frame I thought was awesome and I'll just take the duck{needlepoint??} out. What else?? Oh, have y'all ever seen colored googly eyes?? I haven't, but they were in the craft grab bag. Also got some flash cards.

Could all of this craftyness have belonged to Daisy?? I think so and I think she would be happy to know that I love her stuff as much as she might have.

JoyFULL Mail

When Lori hosted the birdie swap, she had Joy of Joyfullness as one of her partners. Joy made her a super cute little "tweet" that I just fell in love with. I commented to Joy that she needed to make those, cause I had to have one. Well, would you know, Sweet Joy, asked for my address because she was sending me one of my very own. Oh happy day!! My little tweet arrived yesterday. Love, love, love her!! I was telling my mom how sweet my blog friends were and she said, "Its easy to be friends when you're just typing." Oh yeah? I am telling y'all, my blog friends, most of whom I've never met, are the kindest, most giving people I know. I appreciate all of y'all that come to visit here and wish I could meet you in real life.

Thank you so much again, Joy, I love my little tweety girl!!
