Hi Ho, Hi Ho, to Anthropologie We Go...

My Mom, Violet, and I had a Mom and Daughter Outing today to celebrate my birthday. We went to Anthropologie, P.F. Chang's, and Goodwill. Oh. My. Gah. Girls!!! Anthropologie is AWESOME!!!!! Major eye candy, I tell ya!! I was smitten...Love that place. I'm fairly certain I could live in Anthro. Just give me some coffee and some food and I'm good to go. ;)
I had my Mom take some pictures to share with y'all. She has a fancy phone. I cannot even begin to use it...
The above pic is the storefront window. They had all kinds of evergreens, wrapped in coffee sacks. So cool...

These tree stumps are actually wrapped in corrugated cardboard. Who comes up with this stuff?!?!

Oh my word...a pinked piece of sandpaper and two matches rubber banded to the candles. Such a cute idea!! You can barely make out the Guest Check paper that its on, but someone had sewn a bunch of them together to make a table runner.

I'm thinkin' my boys need this deer in their room. The antlers are made of what appears to be pallets.

This section...one of my favorites. Anthro has the cutest tea towels. Lucky for y'all you can make your own using my tutorial over at Life in Grace.

My other favorite section...I got a prize from this area!! I'll share it with y'all soon, promise. :)

Cute, cute towel!!

Oh my stars...this book idea was so cute!! These pinecones and acorns were made of felt and sooo cute!! Seriously, who comes up with this stuff??

I am so gonna knock off this bird pillow. Mark my word. Its fab!!
Thank you all for coming along, it was fun!!

Alpaca...

A few weeks ago, when my nieces were up visiting, we went to an alpaca farm. It was interesting. The alpacas are so gentle. Crazy looking, too.
This one just layed down and posed for pictures. Fisher enjoyed petting her.

Here is Lilly feeding one a carrot. Alpacas love carrots. They are like candy to them.

Another shot of Fisher. I was surprised at how well the animals did.

Somebody needs to pull their shirt up!! I couldn't resist getting in a picture myself. This was before I put Fisher down. Of course, these pictures are in random order...

My two "big kids" with the alpaca. I think her name was Samantha. Aren't the funny looking?? They had just been sheared in April, I think. They are quite furry normally.

Jackson did well feeding one also.

I took this picture when we first got to the farm. These are two male alpacas fighting. They fight to see who is going to be the babies' daddy. Really, they do. Kind of a macho male thing, I suppose. This was a fun little field trip. I would really encourage y'all to google search an alpaca farm near you. We learned a lot and had fun!!

Mother's Day Hi-Lights

I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day!! Mine started out with the fabulous handmade cards by the children with help from Daddy. Then to Church, we had nursery duty. Lunch at Red Robin, followed by playtime at the park. Came back home, I wanted a few minutes, or hours, to myself, so I watched the worst movie next to The Nightmare Before Christmas, Prime. Its the one where Uma Thurman's character is dating her therapist's son. Oh, you haven't seen it?? Don't waste the two hours. Seriously, you can thank me later. And if you did like it?? I'm sorry...

Okay, on to the fabulous parts...this card is from Jackson, my oldest. Love it!! I think Lilly actually drew a picture of she and I or Jackson and I. I have a flower on my outfit. So sweet. I love this homemade goodness.

Here is Fisher's card. Click on the photo to see the bubble commentary. I am the best mom ever!!

Lilly's card. Daddy drew Lilly and I. She picked out the stamps. Aren't they lovely?? I have to find a very special place to hang these. Hallmark, you don't have anything on my peeps!!

This one park is so cool. The play area is huge and then they have a big grassy area behind it. The park also has a lake and a loooonnngggggg walking trail. Ask me how I know!! Here is Jackson tackling rock climbing.

Lilly had fun on the slides. Yes, she is wearing tights and a turtleneck. No, it wasn't cold.

Fisher had a blast on the swings. His first time swinging at a park. He just laughed and laughed. It was so cute!!
Hope you all had a fabulous day!!

A Very Un-Christmas Post

Hey Y'all,
If I am scarce around here, I will blame it on my computer. My mouse has taken to not working when it feels like it. I don't know if the computer is trying to get a virus or something, hopefully not...I have heard that the mouse is the first to start acting whack. I did purchase bsafeonline yesterday, but I am praying its not too late. A new computer is so not in the budget. Send your well wishes and prayers and hopefully I will be back with fun Christmas stuff. We are going to the Fox Theatre tonight to view The Polar Express and there will be snow(fake) and carolers, etc. I will take pictures, of course!! The best part...its FREE!!!
Our soup potluck went well on Saturday. We enjoyed being able to have our friends over and be able to catch up. My son has to act like he's on crack when other kids are around, and tried to open his sister's window-um, not safe-second floor window-nothing to break a fall onto concrete. Crazy nut!!
Okay, gotta go get ready for Lilly's ballet. They are having an open class today, so Daddy's and grandparents can come. Yay!!

Fall Fun

Wow, I have so much to share!! No news about the house yet. We should know something by the end of the week, hopefully. If I had posted yesterday it likely would have been titled, "I'm not bi-polar, I'm just tired." I cannot burn the midnight oil anymore. It makes for an evil version of myself.
We took a fieldtrip with our homeschool group to the apple orchard. Then this past weekend the family and I went to another apple orchard/pumpkin patch. Sunday, my best friend from high school and I made applesauce. This year's batch didn't turn out as good as last year's. I think it will be edible though.
Between all the apple fun-ness, I received my Fall Swap package from Michelle and a giveaway I won from Carol. Gotta love fun mail!! I will post pictures of all that tomorrow when the sun is shining. Hopefully it will shine.
Anyhow, today we have photos from the first trip to the apple orchard. Above is Buttercup, the cow. Isn't she cute??

Jackson milking Buttercup. He and I got our hair cut right before the trip. Jackson's hair was way past cute little skater boy and mine had several inches of split ends. I know y'all were so interested in that little tidbit!!

Lilly's sticker..."I milked Buttercup". We even coordinated the shirt to fit the occasion. Too bad nothing else matched...

Jackson watching the pigs race. So jealous of his eyelashes. I wish I was half as gorgeous as he is.

Look at the piggies go!! Run Hamgelina!! Go Arnold Swhartzenhogger!! Go get 'em Tammy Swinenet!! The piggies had the cutest names!!

The kids got to feed baby goats, have a hayride, and play. We had a picnic lunch after all the fun.
See what I mean about the matching being optional?!?!

This goat was amazing!! She would pull the rope and up came her food.

Ah yeah, that's the stuff!!

The best Fall breakfast ever!! According to Jackson...
The little store at the orchard sold all kinds of apples-my favorite being Honey Crisp. We got the cider donuts from there also. Enjoyed with apple cider and hot chocolate-yum!!
Hope you enjoyed the virtual trip!! How have y'all enjoyed this Fall??
