Doesn't it feel great to get another project checked off your list of to-do's?? I know it does!! I was inspired by the below photo from Better Homes and Gardens and knew I wanted to replicate this look in my kitchen.

I had a gaudy gold frame that I purchased from a yard sale for $5 that came with a painting. I took the painting out to re-use. I just watered down black crafts paint and wiped it on the frame with a paper towel until I got the look I wanted. I then mod podged sheet music from a hymnal onto a piece of cardboard. Then my dear husband hung it for me-screwed it right into the ceiling. Oh, we also added crystals to the chandelier.
Just a little close-up...I did go thru the hymnal and picked out some of my favorite hymns.I love it!!

Do you get all your lightware from yard sales or thrift shops? We took the plain ones when we built the house and said we would change them out when we saw better ones we liked.

It turned out perfect! After you told me about it, I thought about implimenting this idea in my breakfast room...A good idea to keep in mind!
