More fun FALL mail and great thrifting...

Y'all remember the acorn tassel I traded with Jenny for something?? Well, here is the beaut I got. Love it!!

Jenny also sent this bird to me. I know y'all cannot see it in its entirity, but it is on a branch and so cute.

Sorry this photo is so dark. Jenny made salt dough ornies a while back and I got the acorn and candy corn. I need to make some now...
Love, love, love the FALL Cottage that Jenny made!! So freakin' cute!!!

She also sent this BOO to me.

On to the thrift finds...I got this shirt for Lilly for a quarter!! I just saw one last night at Target for about $5. I got the boots for a dollar. Love me some good deals!!

Got some awesome vintage craft stuff today as well. I have plans for the birds. Oh yeah...

Here is an overview-yes the photos are flopped...oh well. I've been eyeballing that wallpaper for a few months now. The frame I thought was awesome and I'll just take the duck{needlepoint??} out. What else?? Oh, have y'all ever seen colored googly eyes?? I haven't, but they were in the craft grab bag. Also got some flash cards.

Could all of this craftyness have belonged to Daisy?? I think so and I think she would be happy to know that I love her stuff as much as she might have.

More fun FALL stuff for Jenny...

Jenny told me one day, a few weeks ago, that she needed an acorn tassel because we were swapping something. Only thing is, I had no idea what I was getting!! Anyway...this is the tassel I made for her.

I had in mind to send these things to Jenny in her first package, but they didn't make it. I stenciled the word Thankful onto a cabinet panel. I also stenciled some shutter slats for her Fall tree. A few more fun things round out this Fall goodness.

Here is the reverse side of the panel.
I'll show y'all my package that I received from Jenny when I finally get a photo of everything.
Oh, and I finished my curtains and I LOVE them!! I will share those soon, too, I just need to finish tweaking my mantle.
Hope y'all enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Curtain makin'...

I think this rainy weather will be just perfect for making some curtains for my living room, finally. This is the fabric I chose and here is my inspiration. I'll show y'all the outcome when I am finished.
Hope y'all have a great weekend!!

Fall Swap: Received

Well, I was gonna be a good girl and not do many swaps, but my dear friend, Lori, asked me to partner up with Yvonne and being my sweet self{hahahaha}, I said yes. I was so excited to see a box on my porch when I got home from the grocery store today!!
Look how cute everything is wrapped...Oh, and note on that rectangular-ish box...an old photo of women at a Halloween party. Click the photo to read it, its hilarious!!

Love the sweet acorn on the ribbon. Jenny's love of acorns has rubbed off on me so I got some acorn lovin' I tell ya!!

Here's all the goodness. Glittered pumpkin, candlesticks and candles, a gorgeous brooch-I believe Yvonne made this, some fun glittered fall shaped ornies, a hook/plaque thingie{?-uh yeah, I need to homeschool, right??}...LOVE the paper!! The cylinder is decoupaged with old dictionary paper and that bird print is so me, no??

Love the glittery goodness!! See the wee little felted pumpkin?? Its a cutie, too.

LOVE the container!! And it held the brooch and Reese's. Such a sweet package!! Thank you sooo much, Yvonne!!

A little bit of Fall in the kitchen...

I decided to bring a little Fall to the kitchen{though I haven't gotten around to doing all of it yet}. I used a tray and pitcher from my days as a Southern Living at Home consultant and added a candle from Wal-Mart and a dollar tree pumpkin. Have y'all seen those Farmstand candles?? They are awesome!! I've also seen them at Joann's. I love the downhome, farmhouse look they have.

Checkin' off the "honey do" list...

Doesn't it feel great to get another project checked off your list of to-do's?? I know it does!! I was inspired by the below photo from Better Homes and Gardens and knew I wanted to replicate this look in my kitchen.

See how cute this is??

I had a gaudy gold frame that I purchased from a yard sale for $5 that came with a painting. I took the painting out to re-use. I just watered down black crafts paint and wiped it on the frame with a paper towel until I got the look I wanted. I then mod podged sheet music from a hymnal onto a piece of cardboard. Then my dear husband hung it for me-screwed it right into the ceiling. Oh, we also added crystals to the chandelier.

Just a little close-up...I did go thru the hymnal and picked out some of my favorite hymns.
I love it!!

Fluffin' for FALL...

We have had great, cooler weather this week and I could not wait any longer to start my Fall decorating!! Look at the gorgeous moon...I got this shot last night.

The chandie in my breakfast area got a bit of fall with bittersweet and a crow.

I put an assortment of pumpkins and apples in the basket atop my armoire along with my bunny weathervane and an iron pumpkin. A tassel on the knob gives it a little something extra.
I will share more Fall decor as I get it up. Go to The Inspired Room to check out more Fall Goodness.
