"Old" old chair in living room...

I got this chair back when I was pregnant with Jackson, some eight years ago. I loved the lines of it and always planned to recover it. This much later and she's still sporting her retro covering!!
I am trying to decide do I want to use a linen type fabric or leopard print. What do you girls think??
This is the fabric I was talking about. Its osnaburg and very cheap at $2.50 a yard. I love the nubby texture of it. On the other hand, I was thinking about leopard print. I love that stuff!! I don't have any of it in my home yet.

Here is a full on front shot of the chair. You can click the picture to enlarge it. Nevermind the other junk in the picture!! ;)
Time to weigh in...
A. Leopard
B. Neutral linen look
Thanks a million!!

I vote for Leopard. I'm trying to find me the "right chair" to cover in zebra. Its my favorite animal print.

You know I love my leopard chair!! :-) ...and it will hide stains. A decorator once told me to have a whimsical, unexpected item in each room.

Well, since you asked...here's MY two cents. I like the linen look, but will it hold up to spit-ups, juice, chocolate, etc.? Maybe a more "patterend" linen, like one with tone-on-tone stripes, maybe a darker color. Also, I agree that you need to have one unexpected item in each room, and since you don't have any other animal print, maybe a pillow would do for you. (Although, I don't really "get" pillows on chairs-even though I have them on mine- because they really just get in the way.) So rather than a pillow, a throw. Hmmm... think about it. ps, I have the same area rug!!
Hugs to you and your belly!!

I know how you tire of things, so I would go neutral on the chair, but maybe a bit darker to hide stains and add a fluffy leopard pillow for your bit of whimsy. Heck maybe even cover it in a drop cloth. That would be durable.
That's my two cents...

I love leopard, but maybe a linen for the chair and a fun leopard pillow. That way you can change out the look whenever you want.

Can't wait to see what you decide!

Hello. This is my first visit to your lovely blog. I would pick the linen/natural fabric. Thhis would allow for so many season changes to your decorating. I would wash the fabric first...washed linen looks beautiful! Maybe use the leopard print for a handmade pillow.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

If it was me I would do linen cause then you can change out your pillows and decor when you what things to be changed up from season to season.

Oh I saw one sort of like this the other day and wanted it but it had a sold sign on it...I have been looking for a rocker like this for awhile but I am sure I will see one sooner or later.

Thanks for the info on Dave Ramsey...

I am quirky and actually like it as-is!! But I would say natural linen w/ a leopard pillow.
