Happy Valentine's Day!!!
This table greeted the children as they woke up this morning. They were so excited and loved it!! I want them to remember holidays being special around here and so I stayed up last night preparing this for them. I mixed a little crystal with some casual melamine dishes from Target with thrifted dishes. I am quite pleased with how it turned out!!
Why not use pretty things for every day meals?? A plate would have worked just as well for the pancakes, but a cake plate makes it all the more special. I am working on collecting mini maple syrup dispensers like the one at bottom left. So much more charming than a plastic bottle, wouldn't you say?? Striped paper straws from Garnish add a special touch to the children's glasses.
Each place setting{minus my own} had a fun valentine napkin, box of chocolates, gum, and a book. This is Fisher's and he LOVES Toy Story and Thomas the Train, so I got him a Thomas book and TS chocolates. The sherbet glasses are thrifted and held strawberry yogurt.
Food ready to be enjoyed. The kids had to make goofy faces!!

Yum...coffee just tastes better in my Anthro mug!!! Pioneer Woman pancakes are the go-to recipe in this house!!
The living room got a little love, too...I made the wreath whilst watching a sweet Hallmark movie.
I'm sure most of y'all are familiar with the yarn wreaths that are so popular...I just hot glued one end of my yarn to a Dollar Tree wreath form and wrapped and wrapped and wrapped. A little hot glue at the end to hold it and you're done!! Embellish as desired...I hot glued felt hearts on and it turned out just as I had envisioned!!
A jar of hearts...LOVE these old glass lidded mason jars!!!
Lilly wanted to decorate her room for Valentine's Day so we made this garland. She came up with the design on her own and we stapled the doilies together and hung it over her bed. A little red bird brings her sweet dreams at night!!
Wishing you all a day full of LOVE!!!
"We love because He first loved us."

What a fun breakfast for your kids to wake up to on Valentine's Day! Your kids will always remember how you did that for them. :) And I love your sweet yarn wreath, and what a cute doily garland your daughter designed! I love how it coordinates so well with her pink bed, which is adorable, by the way! :)
Happy belated Valentine's Day and I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Hi, it's me again! I forgot to say that I am ready to send your fabric to you (for the dolls you are making) for real this time! Everything got so crazy around here, and so I am much delayed in sending it I know! But I would love to do it this next week if that would work for you. If so, you can email me your address. My email address is: beautifulnest@gmail.com
Sorry it has taken me so long! I will send you the fabric I think is most cute, and if you like it and could use more fabric, let me know! I don't want to overwhelm you with too much fabric if you don't want it!
Blessings again,
Jenni
Such cute ideas. The table setting was so sweet.

Everything looks so sweet, Elise! :) I just love, love, love the smile from Violet! Oh my goodness...absolutely melt my heart! :)
You asked about Abeka curriculum...honestly, it's good but it's tedious. A LOT paperwork and bookwork. We don't use it anymore. We are now using Christian Light Education Curric. and really like it. I also am moving a bit toward some Charlotte Mason methods, as well! :) Feel free to email me if you want to talk more about it! xo
What a love-ly breakfast!! My kids would have been excited just to be getting pancakes, let alone at such a special table. Your little ones are adorable!
And I do recognize that blue. I think the table would look fabulous white. Do you plan to paint the whole table? I love the look of painted legs and a stained top. I tried that with mine, but could never get the stain the color I wanted. When I finally did, I was happy with the finish... until it scratched like crazy. For some reason the poly didn't cure to a hard finish. I suspect it was the scorching temps and stifling humidity we were having when I was working on it.
Aw, what a fun Valentines day you all had! The wreath and garland were super cute.
I think I may be in love with lilly's bed!!!!
