You can also go to Amy's blog to see it better.
I got this chandelier a while ago for Lilly's bedroom. But then I was thinking how desperately bad I need, I mean, want, a new chandie for the kitchen/breakfast area and this would be so cute in there. Don't you think?? I need something totally different than the one in my actual kitchen so it doesn't compete or look like I was trying to make them the same but failed. You can see it here. Don't know if you can see it good or not, but if the milkglass globes are off you can see a little ruffle action going on on the candle cup. Also at the top. So cute. I really feel bad about not using this one in Lilly's room...I just love the vintage feel for her.
Here the chandelier is in all its glory. I may or may not use the globes. Depends on which way the wind is blowing that day. ;)
Okay, so here is the color of the paint I am wanting to do. Do I go for the green, which is called Seaweed and not at all hunter green looking in person, or the sunny yellow?? I love the green so much, but I am afraid it will not go with the wall color. I don't want to paint the chandie black because the other one in the kitchen is black. I am open to other color options, too. You can click here and here to get a better feel for the room. Sorry the photos are stinky.

I like the seaweed color with wall green shade... You know I love me some milk glass in the kitchen area, even collect milkglass, I have Christmas milkglass plates and bowls... besides, I bet you can find a more dainty chandi for Ms. Lilly's room...
Yes, I agree with Jen...you could probably find a different but oh so cute chandie for your sweetie's room...and I say sunny yellow! :)
I like the green...but a "Rasberry" red would be delightful too...
I love the milk glass too! But if I HAD to pick a shade, I think they green would look fabulous!
By the way - did I tell you that I know that Amy from elementary school and she's how I found your blog??? :)
Yeah I think the green would look nice on it too. The milk glass is awsome! You should definitly use them.
me again...was thinking some more about your light...how about "barn" red with a little glaze over it...would really "pop" with the white globes and looks great with that shade of green...
I too agree that you can find Lilly a sweet little chandie for her room. I am kind of leaning towards the sunny yellow, but Jill has intrigued me with the raspberry red idea.....
Laura :)
That is almost the same shade of green my kitchen is painted..so I am totally biased when telling you to go for the green..but when the sun hits it, so calming and cheerful all at the same time. Happiness. I love the chandy alot and would use the globes because I love milk glass...painting it will really make them pop, too. There are always lights to be found so don't feel bad about using it in the kitchen..it looks more kitcheny anyway...yes, I made that word up..! I hope I don't get the urge to paint now after reading this....heehee!
I'm gonna go against the grain - I like the yellow! I also love the milk glass, totally keep that! :)
okay if i were to have to pick between the green and the yellow...i would go yellow. as for a chandelier for your daughter's room what about the one you are replacing? spray paint that baby and add some shades or hanging gems for a more romantic feel?
thanks for visiting my blog! i love make overs so this was fun! let us know what you decide!
I love the chandie! You should keep the milk glass. I have a totally different opinion...I think you should either paint the chandelier black or red. It would coordinate with the other black one, but be different too with the white globes. The milk glass would also pop against a bold color like black and be very classic. It also will go better with your pretty new red curtains and dark cabinets. Can't wait to see what you decide! Hope that helps, or does it confuse you more...?
I would still do black if it were me. The milkglass will make it look totally different from the one in your kitchen.
okay well if other colors are allowed then i would totally go with red or white even!
I have to say green. It's my favorite color so it is definitely on my top list! *smiles*
I'm thinking the yellow, but you know a shade of red would look good too!
