Happy Fall, Y'all!!

Its May, right?? Well, let me tell you, it feels like Fall here!! Its windy and the high is going up to 73. As I type, its 57 degrees. I LOVE it!!

If you were the exterminator that surprised me with your visit, then you might have seen this...Prepared to be scared!!

This is the foyer. Full of junk. Yikes!! Lets see...we have a Halloween bucket, carseat, toilet paper, craft supplies from my aunt!!

My kitchen...sink still full or dishes. Countertops all covered.

My dining room. We have a desk that's gotta go, chairs that need to be painted, projects to get started or finished.

Clothes piled up on the living room chair and couch. A hair dryer...Where does this stuff come from?!?!

My nieces are visiting and the kids are having so much fun with their cousins!! Making tents with quilts...Notice the spray paint.
Anybody wanna come help clean?? Anybody...

It's always the way isn't it. We are working hard on finishing our school work for the year here. Yesterday, I get a call from the gas company~they need to come back and test the work they did here Saturday. Ok~gives me a few minutes to get it together. Nope~he's right outside the door. Well, I had to let him in. Things were chaotic at best but it only got worse. Things were jam packed in his way in the basement. He was none to happy about that. Got that all out of the way and came upstairs. While reaching for my daughter's book at the same time she does my whole extra large, just filled coffee mug tips over. Coffee everywhere~dripping off books, papers, onto chairs, the floor, splattering the curtain. Won't you guess it~while the melee of trying to contain it and clean it up is happening~the gas guy has to walk right through that area.
AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH! just another one of those happy homeschool days. LOL

Sorry to make this so long. Just had to share.

A) loved Ruth's post...these things only happen when someone else is at your home.
B) your home doesn't look THAT bad...you should see mine, or not!
This morning I had to run out of the house after all three of my boys DID NOT clean up their breakfast or lunch mess. My daughter had oatmeal (we're experiencing some cooler weather here in Cali, too.)and since oatmeal totally sticks to the bowl if you don't rinse right away, I just filled it up with water! Hahaha! So by the time the boys got home from school (what--2:30?) I actually had the kitchen cleaned up, now on to the rest of the house. Ugh.

I love your honesty and a dose of reality! It makes the rest of us feel better when we also have a mess. It is so hard to get it together after you move. I am feeling the same way. I hope you find a taker to help you clean. Send them my way too!

Thanks for stopping by my little piece of the world. Glad to meet you. Love The Storybook Woods. Clarice is sweet. To answer your question regarding the dance my son attended. Yes, it was a Home School/Church function for the kids to learn how to do the good old fashioned dances of long ago. It was super fun. They do them regularly. This was our first since we are pretty new to the Church here.

Your messy house was fun to see... hope you get the projects you want to complete, finished !!! I shall have to add you as a fave. Thanks for popping by. Hope to hear from you again. Blessings, Mica

I would be loving the weather too, if we hadn't planned to do some swimming lessons this week!

I can't believe you would show pictures of your house that way! To think it looks like someone lives there, and that your kids have fun there?! How do you expect to make the cover of Better Homes and Gardens?? I'm with you girl, I'd rather send my kids into adulthood with GREAT memories!! You're a great mom...keep it up!!

Oh, and you KNOW I will come help you clean ;)

Okay, so isn't it funny how we work hard and clean our house to perfection and nobody ever comes that day...then, when it's at its worst, everybody and their Mama shows up at the door?
Girl, my house looks twice that bad everyday and that's with me cleaning it all day! My favorite thing is the lamp shade in the living room. Typical of my house...not even the furniture (is a lamp furniture??) withstands my little tornadoes.
Hope y'all are having fun and know that there are a lot of Mamas in the boat with ya!!

Gosh...Loving it cause this is real life...same as me! I only get to clean mine on the weekend since I work fulltime and just don't feel like doing it during the week...

Oh yeah does it ever feel like Fall which to me would be just fine and dandy!

Lexi loves making the tents also...so much fun!

Thanks for sharing the real world and not all the makebelieve we see around here sometimes...I like seeing the real in everyone...now as for cleaning...sorry but I hate cleaning myself! lol

I like the second to last picture with the lamp all katty-wompus... haha you are my hero. My house looks the same most of the time. I just got it clean because of my graduation but that looks like a normal day at my house!

I am so glad I am not alone. For the last several months in trying to finish up the remodeling, my house has looked worse than ever. I wish someone would come over and help me clean too.
Your kiddos do look like they are having a real good time.
Hope your having a blessed Sunday.
Hugs,
Cindy
